Dr. Fauci Prompted Drafting Paper to Disprove Lab Leak Theory – China still blocking access to Western Researchers

Suddenly, the world began dealing with a pandemic that would cost millions of lives, livelihoods, jobs, years of education, medical procedures, and so much more. So naturally, those affected want to know the cause of such and how to prevent another one. However, what if the cause of the pandemic was because a ban on Gain of Function Research was lifted in 2017? And then, what if those responsible sought to hide the evidence?

Sounds criminalish, right? Well, according to the House Select Subcommittee, which is investigating the origins of the Covid-19 pandemic, Dr. Anthony Fauci “prompted” the drafting of a “proximal origin” publication that was meant to “disprove” the COVID-19 lab leak theory, emails reveal.

“New evidence released by the Select Subcommittee today suggests that Dr. Fauci ‘prompted’ the drafting of a publication that would ‘disprove’ the lab leak theory, the authors of this paper skewed available evidence to achieve that goal, and Dr. Jeremy Farrar went uncredited despite significant involvement,” the memo says.

On February 1, 2020, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Francis Collins, and at least eleven other scientists convened a conference call to discuss COVID-19. On the call, Fauci and Collins were first warned that COVID-19 may have leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China, and, further, may have been intentionally genetically manipulated, the memo says.

Why was it so important to ‘disprove’ the lab leak theory?

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has defended the US giving hundreds of thousands of dollars for research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which has been at the center of lab-leak theories about the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, leading virologists who initially raised concerns about the possibility of COVID-19 leaking from a lab in Wuhan, China, before later changing their tune on the issue oversaw projects that received tens of millions of dollars from the National Institutes of Health under Dr. Anthony Fauci, records show.

“Since changing their tune and publicly dismissing a potential lab leak following secretive conversations with Anthony Fauci, Garry, and Andersen have received tens of millions in new taxpayer funds from the NIAID [National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases] for wasteful, deadly, and dangerous virus experiments on primates and other animals,” Justin Goodman, the vice president of advocacy and public policy at the White Coat Waste Project, a federal spending watchdog, told the Washington Examiner.

“Given all of the waste, fraud, and abuse we’ve exposed at NIAID since early 2020, it wouldn’t be surprising if gain-of-function’s ‘funding father’ Anthony Fauci was rewarding his fellow animal experimenters for their compliance and complicity in covering up what really happened at the Wuhan lab.”

According to the Subcommittee: Only three days after the initial conference call, “on February 4, 2020, four participants of the conference call authored a paper entitled “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2” (Proximal Origin) and sent a draft to Drs. Fauci and Collins. Prior to final publication in Nature Medicine, the paper was sent to Dr. Fauci for editing and approval. On April 16, 2020, slightly more than two months after the original conference call, Dr. Collins emailed Dr. Fauci expressing dismay that Proximal Origin—which they saw prior to publication and were given the opportunity to edit—did not squash the lab leak hypothesis and asks if the NIH can do more to “put down” the lab leak hypothesis. The next day—after Dr. Collins explicitly asked for more public pressure—Dr. Fauci cited Proximal Origin from the White House podium when asked if COVID-19 leaked from a lab.”
